Annamary “Mary” Himes, 80, a resident of Epworth Manor, Tyrone, formerly of Bellwood, died peacefully Wednesday morning January 20, 2021 at the manor.
She was born November 8, 1940 in Bellwood, daughter of the late Raymond E. and Caroline V. (Price) Estep.
On June 5, 1958, she married Lewis E. Himes in Cumberland, Md., and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2017.
Surviving are six children, Barry Himes of Bellwood, Diane Himes Jackson of North Carolina, Janet Bradley of New Hampshire, James (Shelly) Himes of Oklahoma, Amy (Mark) Baughman of Altoona and LuAnn Himes Shultz of Tyrone; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Charles L. of Bellwood; and two sisters, Sharyn L. Davensizer and Susan L. Simondale both of Bellwood. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward J. Estep.
Mary was a 1958 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood.
Mary was a caregiver by nature. She enjoyed caring for her home, husband, children and grandchildren, as well as the residents where she lived. Mary was small in stature but big in heart.
A private service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at the convenience of her family.
Inurnment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
