Obituary for B. Lorraine Rutter (Miller)
B. Lorraine Rutter, 96, formerly of Bellwood, died Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021 at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg. She was born Nov. 12, 1924 in Blandburg, daughter of the late Howard W. and Nora A. (Williams) Miller. On June 18, 1943, she married Clair F. Rutter in Winchester, Va., and he preceded her in death on
March 18, 2003.
Surviving are two sons, Brian F. (Kathryn) of Altoona and Mark A. (Terri) of Frederick, Md.; two daughters, Betsy C. (Ren) Miller of North East, Md., and Peggy S. (Joe) Muhlbauer of Altoona; five granddaughters, Sarah Dietzel, Hannah Lewis, Rebekah Ross and Elizabeth and Kristen Golia; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family of eight brothers and sisters.
Lorraine was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood and also a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Altoona Chapter. She enjoyed exercising, walking and music of all kinds.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of her family. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood or Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
