Catharine May Dillen, 88, of Bellwood died Monday morning, July 4, 2022 at her home.
She was born September 4, 1933 in Chambersburg, daughter of the late William L. and Catharine May (Eby) Ludwig. She met the love of her life, Chester Lewis Dillen at Shippensburg State College and on August 23, 1956 they married in Leavenworth, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2017.
Surviving are her three sons, Joseph L. of Altoona, Michael C. of Philadelphia and David E. (Mindy) of Altoona; a grandson, Philip; a granddaughter, Jenny; and a great grandson, Dakota.
She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Janet.
She was a 1951 graduate of Chambersburg High School and in 1955 she graduated from Shippensburg State College. Catharine briefly taught in the Carlisle School District. She was a member of Logan’s Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood. She enjoyed her cats and reading magazines. Catharine’s children and grandchildren were the highlight of her life.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of her family. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
