Clara C. (Pedro) Dumm, 93, of DuBois, formerly of Bellwood, died Thursday morning, April 28, 2022 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois. She was born June 5, 1928 in Bellwood, a daughter of the late Alex A. and Margaret T. (DeStefano) Pedro. On Nov. 23, 1950, she married Eugene H. Dumm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood.
He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Eugene H. Dumm, Jr. of LaGrange, Ky; a daughter, Mary Jane (Paul) Obenreder of Treasure Lake, DuBois; four grandchildren; Russ, James, Morgan and Mackenzie; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Christine A. “Teeney” Sitman.
Clara was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, and she worked as a registered nurse for ten years. She attended Mass at Christ the King Manor.
She loved to cook and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Clara’s home was always open to everyone at anytime.
A service outside of Mass will be held at 1:30pm, Monday, May 2, 2022 at Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev. Jozef Kovacik officiating. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
The family suggests contributions in Clara’s memory be made to a charity of your individual choice.
