Clarabelle D. Huber, 87, of Bellwood, died Wednesday afternoon July 19, 2023 at her home.
She was born September 8, 1935 in Bellwood, a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Priscilla May (Eller) Barley. On May 13, 1964 she married Joseph R. Huber at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 10. 2012.
She is survived by her children, Crystal J. (Dan) McClellan and Michael J. Huber, both of Bellwood; six grandchildren, Donald, Jr., Rusty, Zoe, Ashlyn and Reagan Ball, and Destiny (Brian) Staines; two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Odessa Ball; three siblings, Paul and Charles Barley, both of Altoona, and Linda Rhodes of East Freedom; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cynthia Joann; five siblings, Hilda Dougal, Joseph, Samuel, Mary Welch, and Jennie Showalter; and a son in law, Donald Ball.
Clarabelle was an active member of Logan’s Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood. She enjoyed cooking and was a dedicated volunteer at The Hope Center, Bellwood. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4pm, Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood.
A funeral service will be held at 4pm Sunday at the funeral home, with Rick Beatty officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood
The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Logan’s Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood or The Hope Center, Bellwood.
