Obituary for Connie J. Wilson (Miller)

Connie J. Wilson, 65, Tyrone, passed away early Thursday morning October 29, 2020 at her home, after an extended illness.
She was born November 29, 1954 in Altoona, daughter of the late Reginald A., Sr. and Hazel C. (Myers) Miller.
On November 29, 1972, she married Ronan Edward Wilson in Tyrone, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 2017.
Surviving are her three sons, Benjamin E. and wife, Cara Wilson of Occoquan, Va, Nate L. and wife, Shannon Wilson of Tyrone, and Clay A. Wilson of Tyrone; three grandchildren; Gabriel, Mireya and Ariel Wilson; and a brother, Reginald A. Miller, Jr. of Tyrone.
Connie was a 1972 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Connie's most important job was being a loving mother and wife. As she battled Fahr's disease and her physical abilities diminished the love for her family never faded. She continued to support her kids as they grew into young adults and ensured that they always remembered to remain grounded and treat everyone with respect. Connie's most memorable trip was a family vacation to Europe. She loved visiting new places and now she's experiencing a lifelong trip to a destination where she is reconnected with her travel partner and the love of her life!
We all love you beyond words....until we meet again--say hello to Dad!

Friends will be received from 11am to 1pm, Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of her family, with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery, Tyrone.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Connie’s memory be made to NINDS (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke www.ninds.nih.gov) P.O. Box 5801 Bethesda, MD 20824, earmarked for aide in Fahr's Syndrome research.
