Curtis E. Woodley, 68, Bellwood, died Saturday morning, July 16, 2022 at UPMC Altoona, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 12, 1954 in Altoona, son of the late Charles F. and Barbara I. (Heller) Woodley.
Surviving are two brothers, Charles D. (Karen) of Calif. and Barry A. of Altoona; nieces, Sarah (Travis) Tornatore, Megan (Ryan) Oltman and Tressa; nephews, James and Bobby; a great niece and three great nephews; and his extended family of brothers and sisters of Excelsior Fire Co. No. 1 Bellwood.
Curtis was a life member of Excelsior Fire Co. No. 1 Bellwood where he held many titles and served on the board of directors. A firehouse icon and mentor to many, his greatest joy was volunteering and spending time at the firehall and serving his community.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood, where a fireman’s service will be held at 6pm. A funeral service outside of Mass will be held at 11am, Weds., July 20, 2022 at the funeral home. Committal at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
The family suggests that contributions in Woodley’s memory be made to Excelsior Fire Co. No. 1, 399 S. 1st St. Bellwood, Pa 16617
