Obituary for David R. Sible
David R. Sible, 62, of Tyrone died Friday afternoon January 13, 2023 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born July 23, 1960 in Altoona, a son of the late Carl and Barbara (Campbell) Sible.
On March 14, 1982, he married Arletta G. Briggs at Church of the Good Shepherd, Tyrone.
Surviving are his wife; three children, Nathan J. (Kerri) of Sinking Valley, Heather M. (Aaron)
Cort of Philipsburg and Courtney E. (Charles) Sweeney of Daytona Beach, Florida; four grandchildren, Kairigan, Braylin, Trevor and Benjamin; three siblings, William K. of Warriors Mark, L. Paul of Tyrone and S. Jane (Mark) Walls of Spruce Creek; an uncle, Paul Campbell of Tyrone; an aunt, Sandy Campbell in Montana; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, whom were the apple of his eye.
David retired as a farmer having worked at several farms in the Warriors Mark area, including Harpster Evergreen Farm, Nearhoof, Conrad, Smith and Willow Behrer farms.
He was an avid raccoon hunter. He enjoyed watching television, especially sports including his favorite teams, Pittsburgh Pirates, Penn State Nittany Lions football and the San Francisco 49ers.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7pm, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A celebration of David’s life will be held at 7pm Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Todd Templeton officiating. Interment will be at Franklinville Cemetery, Franklin Township.
