Obituary for Dean H. Campbell

Dean H. Campbell, 87, of Bellwood, died Sunday afternoon, December 18, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born May 27, 1935 in Bellwood, a son of the late Clarence H. and Alma M. (Cherry) Campbell.
On Dec. 26, 1954, he married Alberta J. Siters at Bellwood Church of Brethren.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Bonitia “Bonnie” DeFazio of Jupiter, Fla. and Penny Kay of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren, Aliea (Kevin) Denison, Arieann and Aura (Michael) DeFazio; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Sloane; and a sister, Darlene Rodgers of Bellwood.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Dennis H., Wayne G., Leonard C., Jean M. “PeeWee” Harker, Rita Miller and Delores McManamy.
Dean was a graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and he attended IBM Jr. College.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force at the rank of master sergeant after serving 20 years, including service during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also retired as a contractor and owner of a property/rental business.
Dean was a member of Covenant Community Church, Bellwood and the Air Force Association. An avid Penn State football fan, he enjoyed attending their games. He also enjoyed swimming, driving his sports cars and going skiing out west.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4pm, Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022 at the funeral home.

SATURDAY, MAY 27, 2023 AT LOGAN VALLEY CEMETERY, BELLWOOD.
