Donald Neil Walker, 66, of Bellwood, died unexpectedly, July 5, 2022 at his home.
He was born Dec. 24, 1955 in Altoona, a son of the late John A. and Doris (Johnson) Walker.
Surviving are his children, Justin (Amanda) of East Freedom and Elizabeth W. (Gideon) Frisbee of Delhi, New York; four grandchildren, Rachel and Sara Walker, and Wyatt and Porter Frisbee; three siblings, James R. (Barbara), Joyce (Tom) Hartsock and Cheryl D. (Barry) Siters; a sister in law, Debi Walker; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ron.
Don was a 1973 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. He held various positions throughout his commercial sales and inventory career. He was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood and Knights of Columbus, Monsignor O’Malley Chapter, Bellwood. He formerly served on Bellwood Borough Council and was a member of Bellwood Bass Club.
Don was a volunteer coach for Bellwood Antis Little League Baseball and was certified in swimming and diving. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, and watching and attending a variety of sporting events.
An informal celebration of Donnie’s life will be held from 4 to 6pm, Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the McCaulley Pavilion at Bellwood Antis Community Park. All are welcome to attend, greet the family and share their favorite stories of Donnie.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Donald’s memory be made to a charity of your choice.
