Ernest Paul Smith, 96, Antis Township died Monday evening May 24, 1925 at Graystone Manor at Bellmeade.
He was born February 24, 1925 in Antis Township, son of the late Ernest A. and Grace V. (Cherry) Smith.
On June 6, 1949, he married Dorothy M. “Dot” Hollen in Winchester, Va., and she preceded him in death on Sept. 26, 2016.
Surviving are his four children, Denise A. (Richard) Nicewonger of Antis Township,
Randy Glen (Susan) of Prescott, Arizona, Ronald Paul (Sandra) and Kenneth Allen (Lori) both of Antis Township; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rachel Miller of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by eight siblings
Paul was a US Navy veteran serving during World War II. He retired as a truck driver at Ward Trucking, Altoona. He was an active member of Riggles Gap Bible Church where he served as deacon, elder and treasurer.
Paul enjoyed being involved at his church and reading. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
