Obituary for Evelyn Carol Myers (Varner)
Evelyn Carol Myers, 78, Bellwood died unexpectedly Saturday evening, January 14, 2023 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born June 10, 1944 in Altoona, daughter of the late Clark A. and Mae (Barkley) Varner.
On Sept. 29, 1962, she married Lewis G. “Toby” Myers in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Amy (Ken) Denny of Bellwood; grandsons,
Derek and Dillon; a great-grandson, Cash, whom she affectionately called “Hunky Bunky”; and a sister, Mary V. Gunsallus of Bellwood. She was preceded in death by daughter, Wendy Marie in 1993; and a brother, William.
Carol was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood and a member of Order of Eastern Star.
She enjoyed reading, watching television and shopping. She especially loved spending time with her family. Carol was a very giving person and enjoyed showering her “Hunky Bunky” with gifts.
To honor Carol’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitation. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood.
