Obituary for George B. "Bubs" Parshall

George B. “Bubs” Parshall, 86, of Pinecroft, died Tuesday morning, September 13, 2022 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
He was born in Pinecroft, a son of the late Preston B. and Helen A. (Turek) Parshall. In 1976, he married Sharon L. “Pidge” Casatelli, and she preceded him in death on May 10, 2009.
He is survived by three sons, Thomas of Pinecroft, Jeff (Marlene) of Bellmeade and Mike of Pinecroft; two daughters, Karen (Robert) Servello of Pinecroft and Jolene Levett of Carlisle; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, James P. (Lois) of Altoona; and a sister, Louise “Mickie” Speacht of Ocala, Fla. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley “Jean” Heaton.
George retired as a truck mechanic at Penn Public Service, Altoona after 44years of service.
Serving for more than 70 years, George was the oldest life member of Pinecroft Volunteer Fire Company, where he held many titles including chief, president, bingo caller and various committee chairman.

Friends will be received from 10am to 1pm, Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood, where a firemens service will be held at 10am. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Antis Cemetery, Antis Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in his memory be made to Pinecroft Volunteer Fire Company.
