Obituary for James C. Freeman

James C. Freeman, 94, formerly of Tipton, died Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Graystone Manor at Bellmeade.
He was born November 28, 1925 in Alexandria, son of the late Frederick David and Alice (Isenberg) Freeman.
On October 24, 1947, he married Dorothy M. Weber in Huntingdon, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 8, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda K. (Ronald) Grager of Tipton and Janice E. (Gregory) Finch of Lebanon; a son, Timothy J. (Mary) of Tyrone; five grandchildren, Rebecca Grager, Andrea Loew, Christopher Finch, Bethany Schaetzle and Adam Freeman; and eight great grandchildren.
James was a US Army veteran serving during World War II. He retired as a utility worker at Penelec. He was a member of Tipton Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and also taught Sunday school.
Jim enjoyed making wooden shelving units and selling them in local parking lots, out of the back of his pickup truck.

Private services will be held at the convenience of his family. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. Arrangements by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood.
