Obituary for John A. Gardner
John A. Gardner, 64, Antis Township, died Sunday afternoon March 21, 2021 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born March 11, 1957 in Altoona, son of the late John S. and Isabelle M. (Davinsizer) Gardner-Glasgow.
On Sept. 18, 1982, he married Rose M. Waite at Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Andrea M. (Levi Reihart) Gardner of Pittsburgh and Chelsea M. (Cameron) Worthing of Avis; and a sister, Twila (Roger) Kyle of Altoona.
John was a 1975 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and a graduate of the HVAC Program at Altoona Vocational Technical Center. He was employed as plant manager at The Daily News ATJ Printing with forty-six years of service. John was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Bellwood.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles and four wheelers. John also had the talent of being able to fix anything in need of repair.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in John’s memory be made to
