Obituary for Judith A. "Judy" Crawford (Younke)
Judith A. Crawford, 73, Antis Township, died at 3 o’clock Palm Sunday morning, March 28, 2021 at UPMC Altoona
She was born January 28, 1948 in Altoona, daughter of the late Julius and Frances (Hall) Younke.
On Feb. 5, 1982, she married William H. Crawford at First Presbyterian Church, Winchester, Va.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years; a daughter, Susan Anne Crawford at home; a son, William A. Crawford of Altoona; a brother, Julius A. “Bud” Younke of Bedford; and her friend and sister in law, Martha Starzesky of Antis Township.
Judy was a 1965 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. She was formerly employed by Big Yank Corp. of Tyrone and Sears, Roebuck and Company, Altoona. Until her recent illness, she was employed as a cashier at Hometown Market, Bellwood. Judy was a lifelong member of Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood where she served as a deacon and was a member of the choir. She enjoyed reading and watching Sci-Fi movies.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8pm, Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11am Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the funeral home, Pastor Barry Vance officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
The family suggests that contributions in Judy’s memory be made to Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood.
