Obituary for Julie Jean Snyder (Kephart)
Julie Jean Kephart Snyder, 73, Bellwood died Saturday afternoon, April 17, 2021 at her home.
She was born July 2, 1947 in Coalport, daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Swope) Kephart.
Surviving are her two sons, Donald D. (Nancy) Lenhart, Jr. of Bellwood and Daniel Lee (Liz) Peters, Jr. of Bellmeade; a granddaughter, Riquel (Tyson) Hall; two great grandchildren, Lain (Carey) and Lara; two great-great grandchildren, Charlie and Sadie; three brothers, Joseph (Kathy) of Georgia, Ed of Coalport and Danny “Kie”(Chrissy) of Nanty Glo; many nieces and nephews; and her special cat, Zoey. She was preceded in death by sister in law, Linda; and a niece, Amy Messing.
She retired as a music merchandiser for Handleman Company and was formerly employed at Riverside Market, Bellwood and Hallmark.
An avid Penn State football fan, she also enjoyed dancing, watching her favorite soap operas and celebrating holidays. Julie’s life was her boys and her family, all of whom she dearly loved.
Friends will be received from 11am to noon, Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at the funeral home, Pastor Ben Hoover officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in Julie’s memory be made to Central Penna. Humane Society, Altoona, Pa.
