Obituary for Laura Jane Settle
Laura Jane Settle, 64, of Tyrone died early Tuesday morning, October 25, 2022 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born August 26, 1958 in Tyrone, a daughter of George and the late Iona (Bridges) Settle.
Surviving are her children, Allen R. Hamp of Antis Township, Angel Homan and Danielle Hamp, both of Altoona and George Settle; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her father of Tyrone.
Laura worked as a certified nurse’s assistant within nursing home facilities. She attended the Presbyterian Church in Birmingham. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, flower and vegetable gardening, playing bingo, and reading her Bible. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
To honor Laura’s request, there will be no viewing, visitation or funeral service.
