Obituary

Monta Jean Beery, 82, Bellwood, died Saturday morning September 5, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 14, 1938 in Marion, Ohio daughter of the late Clifford Clayton and Rhea H. (Woodruff) Seiter. On Oct. 4, 1959, she married Dale Miller Beery at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marion Ohio.
Surviving are her husband; her three children, Rachelle C. (Bob) Tower of Tyrone , Roger M. (Michele) of Middletown and Rhonda J. (Tobias) Nagle of Bellwood; three grandchildren, Renee (Robert) Anderson and Emily and Christian Nagle; three great grandchildren, Vivian, Caleb and Colton Anderson; and a sister, Shirley A. Kulick of Delaware, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jay C. Seiter.
Jean was a 1956 graduate of Pleasant High School, Marion, Ohio. She was a former bookkeeper at GE Telephone Co., Marion Ohio. Jean was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altoona. She was an exceptional housekeeper and enjoyed cooking, cleaning and vegetable gardening. Jean also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Friends will be received from 11am to 1pm, Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday at the church, the Rev. Dr. Barry R. Folmar officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in Jean’s memory be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altoona.
