Obituary for Reverend Robert D. Grossman

Reverend Robert D. Grossman, 95 of Mountaindale, went to be with his Lord and Savior
Thursday morning, September 10, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.
He was born December 23, 1924 in Dunmore, son of the late Donald and Alice (Bellas) Grossman.
On June 12, 1948, he married Mardell H. Eakins in Scranton, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 2015.
Surviving are two sons, Robert H. (Susan) and Rev. George C. (Sandra), both of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Judith A. (Bradley) Turnbaugh of Mountaindale; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Rev. Grossman was a graduate of Practical Bible Training School, Binghamton, New York
where he later taught as a professor. For 55 years, he served in the ministry including First Baptist Church in Roulette, First Baptist Church, Sinclairville, New York, Mainland Baptist Church, Pleasantville, New Jersey and Walnut Street Baptist Church in Avis. He also served as visitation pastor at First Baptist Church, Altoona for 25 years. He attended Mountaindale Baptist Church. Rev. Grossman was a talented artist and vocalist, in which he shared as part of his ministries.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of his family. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
