Obituary for Sharon L. Strickler (Brumbaugh)
Sharon L. Strickler, 72, Bellwood went to be with the Lord and rejoice with her heavenly family on Tuesday morning April 14, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born November 13, 1947 in Altoona, daughter of the late Andrew V. and Eleanor M. (Johnston) Brumbaugh. On Nov. 15, 1980, she married Howard S. Strickler at the Edith Davis Eve Memorial Chapel at Penn State Altoona Campus
Surviving are her husband; a brother Harold V. Brumbaugh of Hagerstown, Maryland.; a sister, Carol J. Hilton of Gainesville, Georgia; three nieces and three nephews; and her furry 4 legged friend, Shannon.
Sharon was a 1965 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School and earned her licensed practical nursing degree in Pittsburgh. She retired as an LPN at Valley View Home, Altoona. She was a member of Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg. Sharon loved caring for her dogs, and for many years was a member of Altoona Kennel Club.
A private funeral will be held at the convenience of her family. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in Sharon’s memory be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, Altoona, Pa.
