Obituary for Steven M. Orolin

Steven M. Orolin, 65, Tyrone, died Sunday morning, May 3, 2020 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
He was born April 10, 1955 in Kane, son of the late John C. and Bonna L. (Cedar) Orolin
Surviving are two brothers, Joseph M. (Terri) of Battle Creek, Michigan and Scott A. (Tina) of Altoona; a sister, Deborah A. (Ron) Aunkst of Milton; nieces and nephews, Michael and John Orolin, Annalisa Gilbert, Brittany Resto, Alan and Andrew Orolin, and Nicholas and Alexis Neagu; and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was a 1973 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and in 1977 earned his bachelor’s degree in business management/accounting at Penn State University. Steve retired as a transportation manager at Intelligent Electronics, Memphis, Tenn., and was formerly employed as a dispatch supervisor at Helms and Ryder P.I.E. Nationwide, Ebensburg.
He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Tyrone. Steve enjoyed traveling, trips to casinos, collecting Canadian stamps and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was a fan of the Altoona Curve and was also former bingo manager at Tipton Fire Company.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of his family. A public memorial service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
