Obituary for Verna B. Garman (Weston)
Verna B. Garman, 82, of Antis Township, died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 7, 2022 at her home.
She was born Sept. 8, 1939 in Antis Township, a daughter of the late Elmer G. and Stella M. (Wenzel)
Weston. She was twice married, first to Morrison C. “Bud” Ralston, Jr. She then married Kin A. “Pete” Garman on Dec. 30, 1983 in Bellwood, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2013.
Surviving are her children, Jody L. Ralston of Antis Township, Sandy L. (Joel) Singer of Hollidaysburg, Allen B. (Lori) Ralston of Antis Township, and Gladys M. “GG” (Jimmy) Greene of Reightown; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and three sisters, Ruby M. (Gil) Daniel of Biloxi, Miss, Vera L. (Gene) Kuhn and Carol K. Caber, both of Antis Township. She was preceded in death by a son, David W. Ralton; and two sisters, Jean and Lois Sprankle,
Verna retires as a custodian and bus driver at Bellwood Antis School District.
She enjoyed making sauerkraut, gardening, processing deer and raising her chickens. Verna’s family was her number one priority, she loved spending time with them and also cooking for them on Sundays.
A celebration of her life will be held from 6 to 8pm, Wed., Sept. 14, 2022 at Excelsior Fire Co. No. 1, Bellwood.
